Schaffhausen – a dynamic business location at the strategic heart of Europe, with excellent transport links to European destinations and the rest of the world.

Close to the international airport
There are direct, daily connections from Zurich international airport to almost every business metropolis around the world. And it takes just 30 minutes by car to get to the airport. By train, the direct connection means you’ll be in the terminus in around 45 minutes.

Road network
The A4 highway connects Schaffhausen with Winterthur, St. Gallen and Zurich. It’s just 10 minutes from Schaffhausen city centre to the German autobahn network, with Stuttgart 90 minutes away by car and only three hours to Munich.

Public transport
Schaffhausen is well served by public transport. The rail journey to Zurich takes just 40 minutes and to Basel, it’s 60 minutes. In Zurich and Schaffhausen, you will find direct connections to Europe’s major cities. Locally, there is an excellent rail system across the region and an extensive bus network to get you to your destination fast and reliably.

You’ll find the current timetable of the Swiss rail network (SBB) here.
